Remembering An American Hero
Dear SP4 Huey Williams, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
With respect, Sir
Curt Carter

I miss the five card stud games.
Huey and I used to sit under a poncho liner, held up by bamboo poles and play five card stud untill one of us got tired of losing money.I usally got tired first.I was up close behind Huey when he was killed.I could never figure out why Huey was so far up front, when he had so little time left in the field. One of the guys that was right next to Huey on that day, said the last thing Huey said was, lets go get em.They all stood up to charge the bunker, and all hell broke lose. After about thirty years,it finally dawned on me why he was up that far,Huey was one brave Cat.Huey used to tell anyone that asked, that he was from LA.I didn't find out untill after his death, that LA. ment Louisiana not LosAngeles. That's just the way Huey was,and I miss him dearly.I would like to tell Hueys family, that he was one brave man,and he was one fine American.I miss ya Dude.
