THANKS

Dear Ssgt Jerry Bridges,
Thank you for your service as a Chinook, CH-47 Helicopter Repairer. I was so glad to read that you were found, and identified on 3/28/2001.
Welcome Home.
This is Independence Day weekend, and it is important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

From Dad

My Dad passed away unexpecdetly a few weeks ago. We started going through his things and I found his bracelet with Spec Jerry Bridges name on it among his things. As another poster said - it was one of the few things he had in a beautiful wooden box. I am close to 50 now, but I actually remember the day my Father got the bracelet. Dad's brother was serving in Vietnam and I remember him going to what I think was a VFW post to get the bracelet. I remember him saying that it was a way to honor those fighting for us, like my Uncle Mark.
Finding this bracelet reminds me in my time of devastating sorrow how fortunate my family is to have had my Dad for as long as we did. I will seek out Spec. Bridges family to return the bracelet.

Memorial Day

I wore his name in the MIA bracelet in high school. I wrote his mom and she wrote me back and sent me a picture of him and now I see I wasn't the only one! I looked him up at the Wall and was glad to find out his was returned home.

Thank you.

My grandmother wore your bracelet. It was among her few possessions when she died in 1998. I have been wearing it for 17 years now. I am so grateful to you for all the sacrafices you made for our great country. I am happy to return the bracelet if your family so wishes, but until then I will keep wearing it and thinking of you.
