My moms bracelet

I wear this bracelet everyday. It was my moms who really never explained it, but I searched it up and it amazes me that they would hand these to high school and middle kids in the 60's... so my son and I decided to look up his picture...makes me sad they still have not found the body Col. Williams...even though I wear this bracelet in remembrance, now I will be remembering two heros...I feel like this bracelet protects everyday...so thank you Col.Williams for your service and the good vibes!!! Love you Mom...

On my wrist and in my heart

I received a POW bracelet as a gift when I was in middle school. I wore it for many years but put it away during a move to a different city. Years later I looked for it when our Library was to host the "Wisconsin Remembers: A Face for Every Name" Exhibit. I found the bracelet and technology allowed me to find Col. David Williams. Seeing his picture after so many years was surreal. Thank you Col. Williams for your service to our country. Your sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Col David R Williams

I received your bracelet in high school and still have it. When the traveling wall came to my town, I took it with me to visit. The people there were so helpful and told me exactly where you were on the wall and gave me some info on you. I was really sorry to hear you had been shot down and no family. You were my family though and I thought and prayed for you often.

Thank you for your service Sir....

Col. David R. Wiliams

I too had a POW braclet with Col. David R. Williams name and date 04/01/67. I wore it for years. Sadly I lost mine, but I never forgot his name and date. Hoping his family knows many prayers have been said for him and his family. Thanks to the internet, I have been able to read more about him and his career. Hoping to visit the memorial wall someday. Bless all of our Service men and women. May those that gave the ultimate sacrifice be forever remembered.
