You’re with me forever

I’ve never forgotten your face as I held you assisting my Medic attempting to save your life. Nor have I ever forgotten my feelings when they called back from the chopper saying you didn’t make it
You were a good man and good soldier And I was honored to have you in my Squad

Brother I relive that day everyday. When that bullet struck you and I saw your last breath, we had already lost several of our platoon. Brother we found the sniper and took him out. I always wondered how that round missed me and hit you, I'm so sorry but the good Lord called you home, the war was over for you. For the survivors that war is in our heads forever. RIP my brother, thank you for your sacrifice. We will meet again on the other side!
