Always in my heart

I was 8 years old when I purchased the braclet with Lt. Col. L. W. Whitford's name with my allowance. My Dad was serving as well. I look at it all the time and am hopeful for his return home. Bug hugs to you Nancy.

I recieved my POW bracket when I was in high school. I write you bracket daily never taking it off, until the known POW's returned home, and the U S Gov't stated that was all...I still have your bracket and have shown it to my children. If your family would like to have it I live in Mesquite,Tx. ... otherwise I will keep and honor it always.... you were and are loved....Sarah

In Memory of Col. Whitford

I wore the bracelet of Lawrence W Whitford Jr. for many years. I still have it. If the family would want it I can send it. You can find me easily. Colorado. I have done extensive research on him and his unit. I was in Vietnam and Cambodia earlier this year. Next time back I would like to go to Laos and find the location of the downed aircraft. My thoughts go out to his family. I would like to see you recover his remains or get more information if possible from the Laos government. If I can help in any way, please don't hesitate to contact me.

When I was about 13

I remember buying a POW bracelet with my baby-sitting money. I wore it proudly for years, wondering if he was ever found. I am now 61 and today I see your dad's picture and a photo of the whole family on another site. I was very distressed to not have my bracelet when I went off to college. I never forgot his name though and I thought of your dad every time I looked down at my bracelet. Cynthia Freeman
