honoring you.....

A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

Thank You

Dear Cpl Thomas Whitfield, Thank you for your service as a Radio Operator with the 1st Cavalry. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is the 4th Day of Christmas, Merry Christmas. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance, and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Your family and mine

My Grandfather, Russel Mutz, was your father (Moody's) best friend. I was a little girl back then, and I can remember when Grandpa got the call from Moody...he needed my grandfather to go and identify your body because Moody just couldn't do it. I had never seen my grandfather so emotional in my life...and until the day he passed away, I never saw that same emotion. He truly loved you, and your Dad.

I promised my Grandfather that I would name my first son after you-but sadly I haven't been blessed with children yet.

I'm so grateful to have known how you touched my family's life, and appreciate how loved you were by your parents and my grandparents. They even gave me all of your 45 records!

Thank you for your service, and I hope you are resting in peace knowing that you protected this country.

With love and respect,

Teri
