1Lt. Lou Bruer

Lou was one of my Phi Gamma Delta fraternity brothers at Texas Tech University. He was a starting lineman on the TT football team. A true brother and true patriot. I have remembered him every Memorial Day and will do so again this Monday. Rest In Peace dear friend.

Dark Days

Lou,

Looking back on it now, a long time has passed since we took that Piper Cherokee down to Panama City Beach. In those carefree times, neither of us contemplated our own mortality. I remember the scramble off of the PSP pad at Lai Khe, not knowing at the time who had been hit. Know, for sure, my friend, that you are not forgotten. Your classmates and your comrades in arms recall yu and this date each year, with sadness in our souls.

Remembered

Dear Lt. Breuer,
Thank you for your service as an Armored Reconnaissance Unit Commander - General Staff (Helicopter Plot) with the 1st Cavalry. Mike was 1st Cav, say hi to him. Independence Day is approaching, and it is important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear 1LT Louis Karl Breuer IV, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter
