Thank you for the ultimate sacrifice. I’m sorry I didn’t get to know you. Just know that mom (Pat) thinks of you often and misses you terribly.

I did all I could do to make sure you wouldn't be forgotten and that people could see your photo. You were one of America's best. I so wish you could have made it home to your loved ones. I am proud that you were my friend, my pen pal on the other side of the world those long years ago.

I remember the love of our youth, our short marriage and I remember 46 years ago today when I came home from Christmas shopping to find a Military Chaplain waiting for me and the finality of his message. I remember you. I always will.
