Thank You
Dear Sp4 Carl Wheeler, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Your 53rd anniversary was 2 days ago, sad. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is Advent, and Christmas is soon. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance, and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Best Friend
Gene was my best friend from Jr High School thru High School in Moore, OK. He and I were running buddies and hung out all the time together along with another kid Jimmy Orr. I heard of his passing while I was at Ft. Sill, just months before going to the Nam myself. I was truly saddened by his death. I have often wondered where his family had gone after I returned home. I hope they all have had a good life. So, God Bless, Geno. I hope we are together in heaven and remember good old times together.

Not Forgotten
Carl was my Uncle who I never had the privilege to meet. Even though I never met him he is one of my heros and a Brother-n-Arms. RIP

Remembering An American Hero
Dear SP4 Carl Eugene Wheeler, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir
Curt Carter
