My nephew Larry Ray Brenner was the son of my deceased brother-in-law, Glen Ray Brenner, and the stepson of my half sister, Joanne Hilton Brenner, who still resides in Las Vegas, NV. Almost 40 years later, I vividly remember the day our family received word that Larry had been killed in action, as well as the long, sad journey with my parents from Utah to Las Vegas for the funeral, and especially the compassion and dignity displayed by the Army sergeant who accompanied Larry's casket and was such a wonderful source of strength and comfort to all of us throughout the ordeal. I have many happy memories of family activities that we shared with Larry. He was a real sweetheart of a guy!

NATIVE AMERICAN PRAYER

It is said a man hasn't died as long as he is remembered. This prayer is a way for families, friends and fellow veterans to remember our fallen brothers and sisters. Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning hush, I am the swift, uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight, I am the stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not die.

"We Were So Young"

Larry, Letting you know I still think of you after all these years. My son is now the age we were and when I look at his face I feel the pain and saddness of your Life lost. He has turned into a Wonderful young man and reminds me that we were so young, too. You are Not Forgotten My Friend-Love,Russell
