Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

Dear Daddy,
I wish you were here this year since it seems this is the hardest one for me. It was at this time in 1968 when you arrived for your second tour in Vietnam. I am making sure that your story goes on and that people know what you sacrificed so that they would be free. Please watch over me and hope you are as proud of me as I am of you.
Love Always,
Krysteen

A True Hero - Remembering you on Veterans Day

Dear Daddy,
I was asked to help place the wreath at the Vietnam Wall for you and the other 58,300 on Veterans Day. I jumped out of a plane in your honor with the All American Veterans Team last week and want you to know I could never be as proud of you as I am today. I miss you every day and know you are watching over me. Your men speak of you highly and every time they say the word Honorable to describe you. When I look at your picture, I think of the word Brave. I am making sure that you are not forgotten and that your legacy lives on. I love you more than you could know and will live the life you never had a chance to. I am walking in your footsteps with pride especially to the places you were at before your death. You will always be in my heart

Happy Father's Day

I was at the wall on Father's Day and met men who were on your LZ. I was also there on Memorial Day and you would be proud. It was so beautiful but I would rather have you.I think of the life we should have had together. You being a part of some of the most important days of my life like walking me down the aisle on my wedding day and being a grandfather. There isn't a day gone by that I don't miss you and love you. Please watch over me and know that I am so proud of you. You fought for what you believed in and I carry your name with pride.
I love you Daddy always.
Your Daughter KC

Remembering you on your Anniversary

Today is the 45th anniversary of your death and I want you to know that there isn't a day gone by that I don't think about you. Heaven needed a hero and he called you home. Even though I needed you more, I understand that your men needed you and you kept your promise to bring them all home. They remember you today and check on me often. You were brave enough and stood up for what you believed in. I want you to know that I am proud to be your daughter. I am a part of you and love you more than anyone can imagine.
Happy Anniversary Daddy!
