Just another kid on the block in havertown, PA
I grew up 3 doors down the street from the Weiss family. All 5 boys made friends with everyone and all were very respectful of their elders and kinda watched out for the younger kids on the block. Tom was just a year older than me and I was older than his two younger brothers, Don and Jim. His passing is what really grabbed my attention and when I left to go over there he was all I could think of. If he didn't make it how the heck would I? Well, I'm now 72 and was very fortunate to have made it. I was a Combat Medic and was TDY'd to a special ops team. We were rarely in our base camp and I was so busy doin the job I only got scared when it was dark and deathly silent. I prayed every night for Tom to watch over me. Thanks, Tommy I appreciate it RIB Brother

I Never Got to Know You
Tommy - I met your baby brother Bobby in 1979 and married him in 1980. Even though we never met, you have been a constant in our lives. Your photo stands with the rest of the family. You were at the remembrance table at our daughter’s wedding. You left this world too soon, but you are always in our hearts. Your loving sister in law - Lisa

Thank you
I always remember the times we spent together growing up. I've never stopped caring for you. I thank the Lord each day for your friendship and service. Until we meet again. I miss our talks on your side porch......and you.
PS. You always asked about my Mother, she is great at 100.

Remembering An American Hero
Dear 2LT Thomas Joseph Weiss, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, Sir
Curt Carter
