MIA

I have worn Stephen Breiner's POW/MIA bracelet for 23 years. I have only taken it off three times, when it was required for surgery, etc. I have felt that everything I do, PFC is doing with me.... he has now been married (twice), had three children, served as a law enforcement officer for 16 years and has celebrated every family Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving and birthday with us.

I got in touch with his mother many years ago and she sent me the kindest letter and a photograph of him, both of which I will always cherish. A family gave their son, but he has not been forgotten.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear PFC Stephen Eugene Breiner, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
