I will always remember.
Harold signed my purse for me at our catechism class at the old St. Robert's church in East McKeesport, PA way back in the day. He was a year older than me and he treated me so nice. I had a crush on him. I do not remember much else about him but I will always remember that special day in my life. May he rest in peace.

Forgiveness
Harold was not perfect, so a remembrance by Brenda Kay remembering a bully incident in high school 59 years later, makes me wonder what four letter words of love or hate you choose. How many other people do you love or hate?

NOT ALL GOOD MEMORIES
YOU WERE CRUEL TO ME AS AN INSECURE GIRL IN HIGH SCHOOL. I NEVER FORGOT HOW YOU TREATED ME. YOU WERE NO HERO BACK THEN.....JUST AN ARROGANT BULLY. I FOR SURE SHED NO TEARS WHEN YOU WERE KILLED.

Never Forgotten
Harold was a very good friend of mine through school. Your death caused me to realize how war takes the best from us. I think of you often and have visited the Wall in DC and visit the traveling wall whenever it comes to Tucson, AZ. I do have rubbings. Know I think of you often and a big thank you for your service.

honoring you...
Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. The remembrance from your sister Deborah is especially poignant and reflects the grief experienced by so many families who dealt with loss in this war. May you rest in eternal peace.
