Remembering An American Hero

Dear SGT James Ryoichiro Watanabe, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

A Veteran's Day Rememberance

Veteran's Day, 2011. James was my older brother who left this earth too early, doing a job he had to do. He was my mentor, protector, and best friend. I'm happy that Mom and Dickie have joined you in your heavenly home so you won't be alone. I've tried to follow in your footsteps, and it has been a hard road to hold. Sleep in peace my brother for I will join you soon enough.
