The Father I never knew

Although it's been almost 37 years since you were taken away from us, i still imagine what you would have looked like as I grew up. I can see alot of you in my brother and in my son. I want you to know that i grew up to be a very good wife and mother-you have a beautiful 17 year old grandauther and a handsome 11 year old grandson. I wish you were here to see them and me, but I know you are watching us every day. I just wanted everyone to know that even though I grew up without you in my life. i have never ever forgotten how much you loved us and how everyone else loved you. I love you, daddy

My Uncle

"Uncle Tuff" as he was known to me will always be remmbered by his family as a hero. He served 22 years in the USMC and was dedicated to the service of his country. I can remember him in his uniform and the times he would wrestle with us 3 boys, winning each time, but as I think back, he was a gentle man. He was tuff, he was a Marine and he was my Uncle and for all three of those reasons I will be forever proud of him.
