honoring you.....

War drew us from our homeland
In the sunlit springtime of our youth.
Those who did not come back alive remain
in perpetual springtime -- forever young --
And a part of them is with us always.

Thank You

Dear Sp4 Michael Vitacco, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Your 75th birthday was passed, happy birthday, and yesterday was the 56th anniversary of the start of your tour. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Columbus Day is soon. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

So long ago!

We had such adventures in the early 60’s. Like brother’s from another mother. I will never forget the projects and the challenges we had. Gods speed always and I’ll see you on the other side.

Family

Honored to have learned today that you are my great uncle. I saw your face today and learned your name for the first time in my life. I’m at a loss of words, my mother looks like you in many ways, and I have always been told I look like my mother. I’m glad my mother uncovered more about you. Such a special day to see your face, and learn of you. You were so young, and laid down your life for our country. I will remember that bravery and courage so long as I live. May I embody your selflessness and bravery. I will make sure your memory lives on.

With love,
Asia

My Salute To A True Patriot And Person

Knew Mike from the 5th grade on. Grew up togther in the projects of Edenwald in the Bronx, NY. Always a great friend and classmate. As a fellow Viet Nam era vet, I salute and honor his two tours in Nam. Your sacrifice for love and honor of country will never, ever be forgotten. Always, R.IP. my dear friend.
