THE WALL OF FACES

The 1/502 Monument was dedicated on July 9, 2010 at Fort Campbell, KY in the 1st Battalion 502 Infantry area. There are videos on youtube of the Monument. The names of the 267 men from this battalion who lost their lives in Vietnam are engraved on the Monument. These men are not forgotten.

Dear SP4 Rodolfo Villafranco, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

Just like I've said in the past, we never met, but that doesn't stop me from feeling very proud of what you did during this countries time of need. Maybe it is the fact that I am surrounded by military members on a daily basis, but whatever it is, I feel as though I owe you just as much as you gave to us--my life. May you never be forgotten Uncle Rudy. Happy Veteran's Day!
