THE WALL OF FACES

A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

Dear PFC Richard Vasconcellos, Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart . Autumn has begun. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it still needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Fifty years ago, I was a boy on Hunt Street, the end of which is a square dedicated in your honor. I'd look at the plaque, and see the faded flags and wreath, and wonder who you were and what you did. And you were just a teenager yourself when you fell, cheated of the life that might have been. The sixty years I've lived in freedom have come from the sacrifice of men like you. Thank you.

May you spend eternity in Gods Holy Kingdom!
You and so many others deserve that and so much more!

Thank you for your service and your sacrifice. Thank you for stepping up and answering your country's call. Rest easy knowing you will never be forgotten.
