Thank You

Dear SFC Jean Uszakow, Thank you for your service as a Special Forces Qualified Indirect Fire Infantryman. Your 56th anniversary is soon, sad. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. 9/11's anniversary is Sunday Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it still needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Thank you for your sacrifice. You will not be forgotten.

Jean Uszakow, I never knew you as I wasn't alive at the time, but I am grateful for the sacrifice you made for the freedom we take so for granted today. I am just a high school student studying the Vietnam War. The chance that while working on an assignment I would pick you of all the names on the wall is something that will stick with me. I believe in fate, so I feel it was meant to be that I chose your name out of all others. I know that your death occurred many years before I was even conceived, but I believe that no matter how many years pass after one gives their life for the freedom of all, it would be a crime for that person to be forgotten in time. R.I.P. and may God bless you.
