NEVER FORGOTTEN

Dear John,
I still think if you and our High School days. Our walks, talks and long telephone conversations. Your deep dark brown eyes, which twinkled when you smiled. Our Sunday trips to Church services. I miss you. You were so special and one of a kind. Much love to a special friend.

God Bless You, my schoolmate

John was a few years ahead of me at Rogers High School and I knew him mostly by reputation, some pretty funny stories from the high school days that I heard from mutual friends. I thank you, John, for your great sacrifice and for serving us in a time of great national confusion and pain. I was a brat at Fort Adams from 1965-1969 (class of 1970). I've often thought of you. It is so important that you be remembered. Your life mattered and still does.
