Remembering Bill
My Dad and Bill's Dad were good friends and I used to go over to their house to visit with him and his brother Nick.
On every May 3rd, I think of Bill and say a prayer for him. He left us too soon, but he was a good Marine and a great kid.
We will never forget him.

Remembering An American Hero
Dear CPL John William Urick, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, Sir
Curt Carter

Never Forgotten
John (Bill) and I went to Jr. High & High School together. Bill was the strongest guy around, and I enjoyed his friendship. We got in trouble several times in Mr. Anthony's Shop class. This one particular time was when Mr. Anthony said we had to paddle each other... so we agreed to do it lightly.... So, I went first, and I just tapped Bill on the backside.... When I bent over, I was expecting the same... WOW! I was hit hard... Bill, Mr. Anthony and the Class fell over laughing so hard. Anyway, I think of him often and wondered what he would be like if he had lived through Vietnam.
Thank you Bill for being my friend at that time... Thank you for serving OUR Country... GOD Bless and RIP my old friend.
