Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. The remembrances from those who knew you are touching and reflect their admiration and respect for you. As long as you are remembered you will remain in our hearts forever.

Dear Lt Nelson Tuttle, Thank you for your service as an Infantry Unit Commander. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is Labor Day weekend. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it still needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

We thank you for your service and sacrifice. You are remembered, not forgotten because we utter your name with respect to honor you.

Wow! My family is full of brave and honorable people! Nelson Payne was my Great Uncle? I guess technically, he was my half Great Uncle? I think. My grandfather, Locke Paul Tuttle Jr (1927-2000) was his half brother from their father's, (Locke Paul Tuttle Sr 1899-1966,) first marriage to my great grandmother, Callie Geneva Moseley Tuttle, (1900-1982,).

I went through elementary-high school with Nelson. Was in Cub Scouts with him. Lost touch after high school and only learned of his death several years later. He was a good fellow and I am so sorry to have just found this place to leave a remembrance and learn of the circumstances of his death 47 years ago. I salute him!
