I remember you
I remember Johnny setting our living room couch with my sister, Carla. The week just before he went to Vietnam. My sister was grounded for skipping school so he spent a lot of time setting in our living room.
I remember her being so excited when she would receive a letter from him. She still has those letters. Even received one after he was gone.
I always remember Johnny on Memorial Day. I'm making a photo album now of friends and family that have passed on and Johnny will be in that book also so that he will not be forgotten.

Letter from PV1 Johnny Turner September of 1968
I would first like to thank Johnny Turner for his service and for making the ultimate sacrifice for his country. My uncle and he were good friends in Arlington, Texas. I am looking for a relative of Johnny's to give his letter to. It was written to my uncle when Johnny was in training at Fort Leonard Wood. After training, he came home on leave and they had one last hurrah before he left for Vietnam. Please contact me if you are related to Johnny and would like to have his letter.
