I Remember

Jim, We had a great time together when we were kids, hunting, fishing, goofing around, sometimes just the two of us and sometimes with others. I remember the last time I spoke to you and your new wife on the porch of my home before you left for Viet Nam. And I remember the Sunday morning my father saw the note of your passing in the Binghamton Press. A day hasn't gone by since then that I don't think of you or speak your name with pride. I miss you.

Not Forgotten

Though I have never met you
And some Americans choose to forget you
I won't, I will carry the flame
Serve this country you gave your life for----in your name
