John C Towle
Today I decided to search Captain Towle on the internet. After almost 50 years I put a face to a name. I live in Deming, New Mexico and also wore his bracelet for many years in High School. My blessing go to those we never meet and yet give their lives to protect us.

In grateful remembrance of John C. Towle's life and sacrifice
I too wore Captain Towle's name on my wrist for years as a youngster, praying for him each day. I hoped he would be returned to his family alive, but now I know that was not to be. I take solace in knowing he is finally home in the country he loved and defended so bravely with his young life. He surely rests in his heavenly home receiving this reward for his ultimate sacrifice. I also prayed and pray for his family, friends and our nation. God bless John C. Towle. Eternal peace grant unto him Lord.

Capt John C. Towle, always in my prayers
In the early 70's, it was all the rage to buy POW/MIA bracelets. I was a young girl, wanting to be cool, so I went to the nearest 7-11, sorted through all the bracelets and found John C. Towle. I don't know why, out of all the bracelets, his name jumped out to me.. but I bought it, and wore it with pride. It went from being a fashion statement, to a true support for him and all the men and women who served.
As I grew into an adult, the bracelet remained on my wrist.. through wedding, and raising children. Now I am a grandmother, I include John in my prayers along with my family. I will never meet John's family, and they will never know how much I appreciate his sacrifice for this Country. The bracelet is now in a safe place.. too weak to continue wearing. He may not be on my wrist, but he will be forever in my heart. Thank you John C. Towle for help a young girl understand patriotism and for giving your life for my freedom.

MIA bracelet
Hello. I was searching to find out what had happened to John C. Towle. I wore his MIA bracelet for many years when I was in junior high I believe. I also lived in Illinois at the time. Thinking of him today and want to give my deepest sympathy to his family.
