Dear PFC Jerald Towater, Thank you for your service as a Combat Engineer. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is Agent Orange Awareness Month. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it still needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Jerald is my brother. He passed away in March before I was born in August. I grew up hearing all these great stories of him. I heard about all the crazy things he did as a teenager. I heard how everyone liked him. I saw the pictures of him and each one I looked at I saw a familiarity about them. Later after my children were born I saw him in my oldest daughters face. Even though I never got to meet my brother, I feel an overwhelming since of pride that we came from the same linage, and shared the same parents. I feel pride that he was a good man and willing to give the ultimate sacrifice for our country. I often wish I had the opportunity to have met him. But each time one of my other siblings tells one of their stories about him , I feel the warmth of love for a brother fill my heart.
