Excerpt from USMC Command Chronologies:
On March 18, 1969 at 2:45am, Lima Company received approximately (30) rounds of incoming 60mm mortars, small arms and automatic weapons fire from an estimated platoon-sized enemy force. Lima Company suffered (1) USMC KIA (Joe Torreros) & (4) USMC WIA. Returned fire with all organic weapons, called in artillery and air mission with negative results.
