Dear WO Robert Thruston, Thank you for your service as an Utility & Light Cargo Single Rotor Helicopter Pilot. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Today is the 69th anniversary of the Korean War Armistice.. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it still needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Caring
Bob "Sonny" Thruston used to babysit me when I was a tyke. He was the first person I knew killed in the Vietnam War. All the kids on the street we grew up on knew him and respected him. May his memory be a blessing to his friends and family.

"Sonny"
I grew up across the street from this friend who was 10 years older than I. We all called him Sonny. He was the first person I knew who died in a war, and every time I heard about soldiers dying in Vietnam, I thought of Sonny and his family, their loss, their sacrifice.
