My cousin
Remembering you, your contagious personality, your sports car parked in the quiet snow at Aunt Alliene’s on Christmas Eve and your last visit to our house.

My first love
It was so many years ago that I first met Larry at Marietta College. Larry was so kind and invited me to spend time at his
family home in Ellwood City.
i think of him so often and every Memorial Day is so poignant since
He was killed on May 25th. I received a letter from him saying they were going to fight the next day on "Mother's Ridge"..a place so many mothers had previously lost their sons. Sadly he must have died there as well.
So rest in peace my first love...you are not ever forgotten.

Remembered
DEAR CORPORAL LARRY BOYER,
THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICE AS A RIFLEMAN. SEMPER FI. WHEN I WENT TO YOUR WALL, I SAW TODAY IS YOUR 48TH ANNIVERSARY IN HEAVEN. BE AT PEACE. TODAY IS THE ASCENSION, AND MANY CHRISTIANS ARE IN PRAYER. MEMORIAL DAY IS APPROACHING, BUT ON ALL DAYS WE SHOULD HONOR YOU. IT HAS BEEN FAR TOO LONG FOR ALL OF YOU TO HAVE BEEN GONE. WE APPRECIATE ALL YOU HAVE DONE, AND YOUR SACRIFICE. WATCH OVER THE U.S.A., IT STILL NEEDS YOUR COURAGE. GOD BLESS YOU. MAY THE ANGELS BE AT YOUR SIDE. REST IN PEACE. YOU ARE ALL IN OUR PRAYERS.

Remembering An American Hero
Dear CPL Larry Eugene Boyer, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, Sir
Curt Carter
