Not Forgotten
I have not forgotten you. I chair the Adoption Committee for The National League of Families of Prisoners of War and Missing in Action in Southeast Asia. We will always remember the 1,889 Americans still unaccounted for in Southeast Asia and the thousands of others that lost their lives. We will not stop our efforts until all of you are home where you belong.
We need to reach the next generation so that they will carry on when our generation is no longer able. To do so, we are attempting to locate photographs of all the missing. If you are reading this remembrance and have a photo and/or memory of this missing American that you would like to share for our project, please contact me at:

We will never forget
We will never forget,
I had the privilege of reading Alan Boyers name at The Wall during a ceremony by teachers from around the country sponsored by the VVMF this past summer. After the reading of names we had an opportunity to leave a remembrance. I was able to find an annual from the University of Montana when Alan was enrolled there as a freshman. It showed a very happy looking young man who was also a member of the same fraternity I would join twenty years later, Theta Chi. It was ironic that the annual which had been collected from a used book shop had once belonged to one of Alan’s fraternity brothers back then. Being a teacher of United States history I’ve shared with my students here in Montana the MIA incident report about Alan and they are moved.
Alan Boyer, We will never forget!
Fraternally,
Gary Carmichael

We Will Never Forget
I've been planning on getting a MIA bracelet for some time now, well today I've finally received it. At first I wanted to pick a name out for looks, or research backgrounds and find an appealing story. But the more I though about it the more I realize that all these men's stories are the same, they all as well as there families made a great sacrifice for me and all my loved ones. So I left it to God to give me a brave solder to remember everyday until he is found. He delivered Alan L. Boyer USA(AF). Missing at the age of 22. I myself am 22yrs. old and a member of USAF. I come from a military background and I am married to a veteran. My sister and I are both members of our base Honor Guard, where we take pride in honoring all those important solders and their families for all they've sacrificed and given to us. Now Alan L. Boyer is placed on my wrist by the will of God so that I remember...
It is an Honor,

A way to never be forgotten
I was at a Veterans Convention some years back and picked your name out of the bunch since you were the only one Airborne qualified. I wear your braclet along with another braclet who was a paratrooper too. I also know tragedy, losing a brother and a cousin in Vietnam. As long as I'm living, none will be forgotten. Sorry to say that while on vacation at the beach in N.C. my POW/MIA braclet was taken by the ocean. I was very sad until I realized that GOD wanted to wear your braclet. Rest in Peace dear soldier as you will never be forgotten. Airborne (all the way).
