honoring you.....

Remember to save for them a place inside of you, and save one backward glance when you are leaving, for the places they can no longer go...

Thank You

Dear Sgt Rodney Taylor, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Today is Independence Day. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it still needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SGT Rodney Eugene Taylor, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter

Never Got To Meet My Hero

Hey, Uncle. You don't know who I am, I don't guess; I never got to meet you because I didn't even exist yet. I'm your great niece Valerie, daughter of Melissa Sink. It's really late to be posting this now, at the age of 13 years old, but I figured I would since it's veteran's day today. I can't wait to meet you when I come home one day... I heard about how awesome you are and stuff; how you die in Vietnam while loyally fighting for your country. I just wanted to give you a final salute... Thank you so much for your service. I love you, Rodney, and I'll meet you someday. (P.S. Wish me luck; I'm joining the Air Force when I'm 18.)
