THE WALL OF FACES

Dear Sp4 Teddy Talley, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Today is the first day of summer. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it still needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Teddy, I wasn't born yet but I feel like I know you anyway. I never in all my 48 years remember not hearing something about you every year. To have the stories told of what kind of person your were makes my heart swell with pride to call you my cousin. Thank you for your overwhelming honor, love, and ultimate sacrifice. I will meet in you in heaven. Can't wait to give you the biggest hug imaginable. I hope I can teach my kids to be half the person you were. My son is proudly wearing you football #72. He is a sophomore and is a lot like you from what I hear. Until we meet. Diana

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

Teddy was a machine gunner and I was his assitant gunner when Company C was in the Mekong Delta. I would have liked to have known him longer as he made an impression on me as a very good young man! I had the privilidge to meet Teddy's mother and visit Teddy's resting place in 1988. His service and life to his country will not be forgotten.
