I discovered Michael on the wall when I first visited in 2009 and searched for my last name. When I saw his middle and last name were the same as mine, I was immediately moved. I am a retired Marine (30 years of service) and served in two conflicts (Somalia and Iraq). Michael made the ultimate sacrifice for his country and the Marines on his left and right. Much respect to him and his family. May he rest in peace.

CPL Michael Joseph St. Onge served with HQ Company, 26th Marines, 1st Marine Division, 3rd Marine Amphibious Force. He was killed during an attack on the 1st Marine Division Complex on Hill 327 (Coffelt Database).

Dear Cpl Michael Onge, Thank you for your service as a Mutlitchannel Equipment Repairer. The 54th anniversary of the start of your tour is soon. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Memorial Day is soon, and we honor you. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.
