honoring you.....
A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

Thank You
Dear HN Ronald Swaim, Thank you for your service as a Hospitalman with the 5th Marines, Semper Fi. Thank you for the lives you saved, Your 75th birthday is soon, happy birthday. I researched you on the 54th anniversary of the start of your tour. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Flag Day is soon. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

29 Palms Marine Corps Base
Ron was a gentle soul who I met at 29 Palms, California in 1968. We were young hospital corpsmen serving our 1st duty station at the MCB Dispensary in 1968. It wasn’t long afterwards that he married a young girl who was a USN Hospital Corps Nurse.
He left for Vietnam in the spring and was in country for a short time before enemy fire took his life.
