Dear Sp4 Ruben Suniga, Thank you for your service as a Radio Operator. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Flag Day is soon. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

You will forever remain in our hearts and prayers

I had the honor of serving along side Ruben in the 3rd/12th Infantry 4th Infantry Division from the day we got in country October 69 till October 70. A good man and a good soldier he was. Always had the bright beaming smile, I will never forget you my Brother and my friend, until we meet again.

I only once met you at your home around 1960, moved away in 62, ran into your father again at Randolf AFB still cutting hair about 1980. We talked and then I learned of your sacrifice. I later visited the Memorial in DC, made a rubbing of your name to give to your dad.
Thank you so much for "Standing up" and I hope to once again know you in Heaven.

Dear SP4 Ruben Bosquez Suniga, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
