Remembered
I remember Bradley playing cards with my Uncle Paul Combs and my Grandmothers Emma Combs house when I was a kid. I remember the sadness of going with my Father Luther Combs to his house to visit his Family when the sent him home. I was totally amazed as a child of 10 with the soldiers standing guard at his casket in the living room. They stood at attention and did not move as we passed by to pay our respects to a hero who gave so much at such a young age. I'll never forget that visit and how the impact of war touched his family and friends. Until then, the wars was a one or two minuet nightly news brief with a injury and death count. This is when it really sunk in and as a child of 10, I understood that those numbers given nightly greatly impacted so many families across our country. This is something that still is with me today when I hear a report of a soldier killed. I pray for all those who ever had to deal with the death of a lost soldier and may God bless and keep them. Bradley, may you rest in peace and I truly hope you and Uncle Paul, Uncle Don and my Dad are enjoying a game of cards at the Master's table with Grandma serving up the Pepsi.

Remembering An American Hero
Dear PFC Bradley Bowling, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir
Curt Carter
