For his family

His full 'given' name was Eddie Frank Spotwood, Jr., and he was born in (Barlow or Hazelhurst) Mississippi to Elizabeth Hattie Spotwood and Eddie Frank Spotwood, Sr.

When Frank arrived in Vietnam 16 January 1968, he was assigned to A Company, 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry, 25th Infantry Division, USARV. Eddie died as a result of gunshot wounds to the body front hostile rifle fire, when the defensive perimeter of A Company was attacked by hostile forces, while the battalion was participating in Operation Toan Than.
