Golden Star Honor Roll

Hello,

My name is Kayla Hallowell. I am writing on behalf the Lake Central High School U.S. History class. I am in the process of compiling information for a Gold Star Honor Roll Book honoring the young men and women who gave their lives in Vietnam for our country rom the state of Indiana and nearby counties in Illinois. I am seeking the families, relatives, and friends that may be able to help me. At this time no book of this nature has been published to honor Vietnam causalities.

If there is anyone who would like to donate any photographs, documents, medals, letters, etc. to me or Lake Central High School, we would greatly appreciate it and preserve the items. If you know of any information that would be any help please don't hesitate to contact me at [email protected]

There is a display at Soutlake Mall every year during Memorial Day weekend.

As to Oswald, God bless your soul. Fighting for this country means more than just a simple thank you. You and many of the soldiers (serving or served) has inspired me to join the military. We will all remember what you scarified for this country and will keep you and story alive.

Rest in Peace & Let you and you loved one be in our prayers.

Junior at LC 2013-14
