George, my beloved friend and neighbor in Kenedy Texas. I honor your memory with love, deep gratitude. Such a nice guy, we traded comics when we were so young. I say your name to keep you alive in my memory. I share our story with my children and siblings.

Dear Sgt George Soliz, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman, I researched you on the 54th anniversary of the start of your tour. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is Spring , and Lent. Time moves quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

My dad Jose Gonzalez served side by side with George Soliz in the Vietnam War. When my dad came back from Vietnam and met my mom he said if they had a son he wanted to name him after his friend who never made it back home. I'm George Gonzalez and named after this hero.
