As a Veteran, I say "JOB WELL DONE MAJOR"
As an American, "YOUR DEATH WAS NOT IN VAIN"
And as a Believer, "YOUR SPIRIT IS ALIVE--AND STRONG"
Although we never met personally, I want to thank you Major Sittner, for your courageous and valiant service, faithful contribution, and most holy sacrifice, given to this great country of ours!

Sittner - Fun-loving Aviator
I flew with Ron Sittner at the 445th Fighter Interceptor Squadron at Wurtsmith AFB, Oscoda, Michigan in 1961-65 -- he and I were both radar interceptor officers (backseaters) in the F-101B. We both went to pilot training in the mid-1960s; upon graduating, Ron was assigned as a pilot systems officer in the backseat of the F-4 Phantom fighter. He went directly to Southeast Asia. Ron was a fun-loving guy, enjoyed Porches, playing golf, telling jokes and taking a lot of kidding for being from Cleveland. I and fellow 445th Squadron-mates still talk of him often when we get together or correspond.
