USNA 1959 Classmate

Wade was a USNA 1959 Classmate who was killed in Viet Nam in the service of our country. He is remembered in Memorial Hall at the U S Naval Academy with other 1959 Classmates killed while serving our country. We are including a picture of Wade from the 1959 USNA Lucky Bag. Wade is also remembered on the "Killed in Action" Memorial below the "DON'T GIVE UP THE SHIP" Flag in Memorial Hall. We will be honoring Wade at our 50th Reunion. God Bless you Wade.

Do not stand at my grave and weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

If I should die...remembrances for COL. Winfield Wade SISSON, USMC...who died for us! SEMPER FI, SIR

If I should die, and leave you here awhile, be not like others, sore undone, who keep long vigils by the silent dust, and weep...for MY sake, turn again to life, and smile...Nerving thy heart, and trembling hand to do something to comfort other herats than thine...Complete these dear, unfinished tasks of mine...and I, perchance, may therein comfort you.
