Pinal County Veteran Memorial Foundation

I am part of the Pinal County Veteran Memorial Foundation. Pinal County has selected Casa Grande, AZ to place a memorial for all fallen soldiers in all wars. We are trying to notify family members to let them know that we are doing this as well as needing their help in making sure we have the correct information. Please notify me either here or at [email protected] Thank you for your help. Nancy

NATIVE AMERICAN PRAYER

It is said a man hasn't died as long as he is remembered. This prayer is a way for families, friends and fellow veterans to remember our fallen brothers and sisters. Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning hush, I am the swift, uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight, I am the stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not die

Seeking Information

I went through basic training with James at Parris Island, South Carolina in the summer of 1967. I only recently discovered that he perished in Vietnam. I am hoping that someone could share with me the circumstances of James's passing. I would very much appreciate any information that anyone could please send along to me concerning the loss of my long-ago friend.

Many Thanks,
Harry Thomas Elms
