Rex , my friend
His short life was full. Full of good times with friends and his brother, Dana. Full of not so good times. He was loved by many in Romney, and I still have his letters. He was awarded the Silver Star after his death. I am very proud to call him my friend. He would walk into town to my house and my dad would drive him home if it snowed or just because it was such a long walk for Rex and Daddy didn't want him to have that long walk in the dark.My daughter(who was born years after Rex was killed) had heard of Rex so much as she grew up, when she went to The Wall for the first time years ago she brought me a rub of his name.He was a lot of fun and a gentle, kind person who had a lot of love to give.
