Thank You
Dear Lt Kenneth Shelleman, Thank you for your service as an Infantry Officer. Your 53rd anniversary is in 2 days, sad. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is another new year. Time moves quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

My Cousin
I grew up with Ken and his brothers; we were cousins. Although they were all older than me, I have such fond memories of all of them. Our Dads were brothers and almost every weekend, our parents would get together and play cards. I always looked forward to those times. We had a good childhood. One morning we received a phone call about Ken; he had been killed in Vietnam. As young as I was, I remember the impact this had on the entire family.
Ken was handsome, funny and a great guy. He had this red convertible that he was so proud of driving.
I've been to the wall and seen his name; what a proud moment. Thank you Ken for your unselfish commitment.

My neighbor Kenny...and Marine brother
Kenneth, his brother Ronnie and his parents where our next door neighbors in Baltimore when I was a little kid. My brother and I really looked up to him. I still remember the day Ronnie came to our door to tell us Kenny had been killed in Vietnam. I was nine. I enlisted in the Marine Corps myself in 1986. Kenny remains a hero to me. Semper Fi, Sir.
