Missing you
David we all sure miss you.
I wanted to post a picture of you.We have been lucky enough to meet several of the guys you served with. The 5th of the 7th cavalry assoc. has treated us like one of them. I have become friends with some of them. Your Lt. James M. Sprayberry is a great man and I am proud to call him a friend.

FRIENDS FOREVER
EACH DAY THAT PASSES I REMEMBER HOW WE PLAYED BASEBALL AND FOOTBALL IN YOUR YARD. THINGS HAVE CHANGED IN CARLOCK SINCE YOU HAVE BEEN GONE. YOU WOULD BE PROUD THEY NAMED A PARK IN YOUR HONOR FOR KIDS TO PLAY BASEBALL AND HAVE FUN LIKE WE USED TO.

Remembering a Comrade
David was on a reconnaisance patrol in the A Shau Valley when it was ambushed by NVA elements. He was KIA along with three others. Only one of them was recovered and David and the two others are still listed as MIA. I was in the unit that was ambushed but was rescued later the next morning. Several of us have been back to the site and will not give up until we find some remains to bring home. May God bless his soul and his family.
