True combat brother

There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about you. You were my best friend in Vietnam and I treasured that friendship dearly. I hope and know that God has a very special place for you in heaven. I still miss you, but hopefully I will see you again.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear CPL Timothy Richard Schroeder, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter

NOT FORGOTTEN

Hi Tim,

This is your cousin Jimmy Cox. My Mom is Lucille Schroeder, your father's sister. We met when we were both very young but I suppose neither of us remember. This remembrance is long overdue. I wish you peace and the knowledge that we will never forget.

Jimmy Cox USN (Ret)
