Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. We should be forever thankful for the sacrifices of you and so many others to ensure the freedoms we so often take for granted.

Thank You

Dear Lcpl Gerald Schmidt, Thank you for your service as an Aircraft Cryptographic Systems Tech. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Christmas is soon. Merry Christmas. Time moves quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

A kind spirit in our Squadron

Schmidty, you were 2 months older than me. We were probably the youngest in the Squadron. We didn't work together, but I still see your smile, and remember the laughter and fun we had in the off times. It was so sad the day you left us, but I know that God has put your kind spirit to a higher use. I will never forget you.
Ken Manns, LCpl. '65-'66 HMM-261
