Dear Lt Frank Schap, Thank you for your service as an Infantry Unit Commander and for graduating from West Point. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is the 3rd week of Advent, Christmas is soon. Time moves quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Today, I wore blue and walked in your honor, Sir. Thank you for the sacrifice you made while serving our great country. I was all of 6 when you perished and certainly had no understanding of war and all that you experienced in your short life time. I salute you, 1st LT Schap.

The “Friends of Rocky Versace” remember one of Frank Meszar's USMA 1966 classmates - a brother Airborne-Ranger and CIB recipient - First Lieutenant Frank Joseph Schap, on what would’ve been his 79th birthday - 24 October 2020.

I loved you then, I love you still!

The war may be forgotten but the warrior will always be remembered. All gave Some-Some gave All. Rest in peace Sky Soldier.
