do not stand at my grave and weep.....
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

Ferndale High Eagles
Paul and I shared the same Home Room at Ferndale high from 1958 to 1962. Our home room teacher was a little French lady learning English as the months rolled on. Like the rest of us, she would be very proud of you for graduating and serving in the Military Forces. I always knew you as a real feisty individual and remember a few spats in which you were engaged. They seem funny now. I was in Vietnam the day you lost your life. Since I was a Marine Captain, our locations were far apart. I wish I could have seen you back then. I will always hold you in my heart and in my prayers. Peace always!

High school friend
I remember how sad I was when I heard about his death. Now, some 50 odds years later, I still recall him fondly.
